Only exciting content is to be expected from Leah Covey, the pregnant wife of Eagles wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey, as the countdown to Super Bowl 2023 continues.
With nearly 7,000 followers on TikTok, Leah has made a name for herself on the viral video platform, where she frequently posts about the happenings in her life, including her on-field celebrations from January’s NFC Championship game, when the Eagles defeated the 49ers to clinch a Super Bowl berth.
“Bring on the bowl babyyyyyy,” Leah captioned the video, which featured her and Covey, 25, kissing at Lincoln Financial Field.
In addition to the Eagles punching their ticket to the Super Bowl, the Coveys marked another major milestone this year: their third wedding anniversary. In a “get ready with me” video posted on TikTok, Leah explained how Covey came into her life “at the perfect moment.”
“There’s no one else I would rather be doing it with. Britain is like the best life partner,” she said in the video as she readied for their cozy anniversary celebrations. “He really did come at the perfect moment of my life. Right before him, I just kinda had a few bad experiences with dating.”
It’s been about three years since Leah first launched her TikTok. Back in October 2020, she started off strong with a fun dance video that she captioned, “Is 24 too old for tiktok be honest,” which received 3,718 views.
Leah’s second TikTok video arrived in July 2021, when she documented herself and Covey having fun in a supermarket.
“Date night to the grocery store !! Fun !!” she captioned the comical clip.
Through persistence and growing her familiarity with the app, by her 11th TikTok video, Leah received more than 31,000 views — the most to date at the time. In the video, Leah compared “normal” fans watching football to the experience of a “football wife.”
Though the Coveys’ attention is on the Eagles’ looming Super Bowl showdown against the Chiefs, the couple is also bracing for another life-altering event.
With baby boy Covey arriving in March, the couple is on the hunt for a home in Utah, where they grew up and typically spend the offseason. Leah is from Salt Lake City while Covey played college football for Utah. He signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Leah recently discussed the packed schedule on TikTok, poking fun at the timing of it all.
“Everyone just pray this lil guy makes it to his due date and doesn’t come during the Super Bowl hahahaha,” she wrote in the clip’s caption.
Kylie McDevitt Kelce, the wife of Eagles center Jason Kelce, can certainly relate.
