Hailee Steinfeld revealed how she and her fiancé Josh Allen are planning on spending their first Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple.
Two months after the Buffalo Bills quarterback got down on one knee and popped the question with a $500,000 engagement ring, the actress, 28, gushed that they were most likely going to have a ‘low-key evening’ together.
In a weekly newsletter for Beau Society, which she launched back in August 2024, the Love Myself hitmaker told her fans that they mostly likely ‘pull out a recipe’ they ‘haven’t tried, cook it together, and turn in early.’
‘As much as I want to go on Pinterest and turn my house into a Valentine’s Day party (every single year), it always ends up being something way more casual, like a red balloon tied on a barstool in the kitchen next to a plate of pink-frosted cookies,’ the True Grit star explained.
The Oscar nominee proceeded to remind her followers not to aspire to make the holiday perfect and to just ‘night be what it is.’
‘Comparison is the thief of joy, especially on Valentine’s Day. Turn off your phone and do what sounds fun to you,’ she wrote.

Steinfeld also mused that if her subscribers’ ideal Valentine’s Day is simply sitting ‘on the couch watching Notting Hill with a bowl of popcorn and pink M&Ms on Friday night, [then] same.’
Her fiancé previously admitted he was surprisingly shaking in his boots when he was preparing to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together.
‘I was very nervous,’ Allen said in the December 2024 issue of Beau Society. ‘I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal. It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you.
‘Then multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.’
The couple were first spotted together in May 2023, shortly after Allen split from longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams.
Steinfeld, who enjoyed her breakthrough with an Oscar-nominated performance in True Grit, was seen alongside the quarterback in New York City.
They have since spent time in Mexico and at Paris Fashion Week but Allen and Steinfeld have – for the most part – kept their romance under wraps.
Allen had previously been in a years-long relationship with influencer Williams with the former couple splitting last year amid allegations of infidelity.

Following their engagement, she wrote in her newsletter that she was ‘extremely surprised.’
Allen, then, noted that: ‘The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, “Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!'”‘
In order not to ruin the surprise, he recalled telling her: ‘Just give me a little more time.’
‘Little did you know I was about to propose to you,’ the athlete mused.
During the proposal, he told her he ‘couldn’t wait any longer’ because he ‘can’t wait to start a family’ with her.
‘I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please. You said yes, and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out,’ he detailed.

On Thursday, Allen sang his fiancée’s praises during his FL Most Valuable Player acceptance speech.
While speaking of his partner, Allen described her as his ‘rock’ and ‘best friend.’
‘I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you. So with that being said, be good do good, God bless and go Bills,’ he said on the stage as she watched adoringly.
Last month, she said she was ‘so proud’ of her man and ‘everything he’s done, and everything that team has done together’ during an interview with E! News.
‘He is the hardest working person I know,’ she raved.
