Dallas Cowboys training camp got chippy when multiple fights broke out in Oxnard, Calif., on Wednesday.
A massive scrum between the offensive and defensive lines took place when center Brock Hoffman and defensive end Sam Williams started going at it, according to videos.
Things escalated when Pro Bowl center Tyler Biadasz charged at Williams and pushed him to the ground.
Williams was pulled away by multiple teammates while yelling in the direction of Biadasz, who then was involved in a second altercation, per Cowboys writer Nick Harris.
This time, it was All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons being dragged away by quarterback Dak Prescott after he was seen throwing a few punches in the melee.
Multiple Cowboys staff members were on the field and attempted to break things up.
“At the end of the day, words are words,” Prescott said, adding that he encourages players to be vocal. “We’ve got to understand that and really believe that, so it’s going to make us better.
“As I said, a lot of times I know it’s just encouraging these guys to play their best and be accountable and really get the best out of them.”
The Cowboys play the Seahawks on Aug. 19, followed by the Raiders on Aug. 26 to close out their preseason schedule.
Dallas opens the season on the road against the Giants on Sept. 10.
