Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is reportedly skipping the team’s voluntary workouts this offseason, so it was a shock to Cowboys fans when Parsons went viral on TikTok for voluntarily taking punches from a professional boxer. The “body shot challenge” went exactly as you might expect.
The 24-year-old was in the gym with AJ Graham, a pro boxer who posted the video of their contest on TikTok.
“Whos going to tap first?” Graham captioned the video.
Each fighter threw one punch, starting with the Cowboys linebacker. Parsons outweighs Graham by 100 pounds, but felt the power of the punch he received much harder.
Micah squared up to try to land an even bigger hit on Graham in round two. When the diminutive boxer ate it without flinching and went straight into lining up Parsons, the NFL star tapped out before he had to take a second hit.
“Nah he owe you one more,” the most-liked comment on TikTok said. Graham responded, “Brodie got outta there.”
“Cowboy mentality give 1 take 1 give 1 & quit,” another response clowned.
“aye man chill out ion wanna hear nun about my boy getting injured,” said a concerned Dallas fan more worried about his health than the silly competition.
According to multiple sources, Parsons is not leveraging for a new contract like fellow holdout CeeDee Lamb. His decision to skip voluntary workouts was to train for the season “in a manner he considers optimal.”
Parsons is under no obligation to attend the voluntary team workouts, but if taking lumps in the body shot challenge is what he considers more optimal, he will have a lot of questions to answer from Cowboys fans and coaches.
