With numerous achievements under his belt, Wilson has cemented his status as one of the all-time greats in his position. He holds the record for most wins by an NFL quarterback through nine seasons and is one of only five quarterbacks in NFL history to maintain a career passer rating above 100.
While many would speculate Wilson to be petrified of ‘losing’, the context was a pleasant surprise for his wife, Ciara.
During a recent GQ segment, Wilson and Ciara took turns asking each other questions. One of these questions happened to Wilson’s biggest fear.
“What’s my, What’s my biggest fear?”
To which Ciara immediately replied, “Not being prepared”
Russell however disagreed, “Yeah, I probably have one that’s bigger than that”
Ciara seemed to know the direction this conversation was going and spelled out the keywords, “What is it, L-O-S-I-N-G?”
To which Russell replied with a smile, “Yes, losing you”
The response was enough to bring about a big smile on Ciara’s face, as he sighed with happiness.
From janky wallet to shared cheeseburgers
During an Instagram live season, Russell Wilson recalled the first time he met Ciara. The future lovebirds ran into each other during a Wisconsin basketball game, and somehow Wilson’s wallet happened to stand out.
“I had this wallet. She says it was janky, I said it was necessary,” recalled Russell.
During the season Russell also pointed out the ways in which Ciara helped him be a better man, “I’m going to give you the credit, but listen, you stepped up my fashion game a little bit, But listen, you said level up, I leveled up.”
Wilson believes that the couple being together was inevitable as somehow they both prefer their cheeseburgers the exact same way.
